it's a good conference within itself. They just can't beat anybody outside the conference. Baseball is pretty dang strong. Basketball is a little down. Football is mediocre at best.

Nah, not at all. I made the mistake of switching over for the last 5 minutes of the VaTech/fsu game and the only thing bleeding are my eyes after watching those two teams play. No doubt though that you are the expert on rectal bleeding....

Has there ever been a year in which the SEC wsa under-rated in basketball?

The first time the Gators made the Final Four, Arkansas was also there, and Kentucky fell an over-time basket of joining them.

The first time the Gators won a National Championship, LSU joined them in the Final Four.

Neither time did the SEC have 2 teams ranked in the Top 8, much less the Top 4.

How many times has the ACC had multiple teams ranked in the T0p 10, but not advance more than 1 past the Sweet 16?
