Question about Marquise Goodwin & the Olympics

Question

Does anyone know if Marquise is definitely going out for the Olympics? I know spring ball starts next week. If MG goes out does anyone know when his trial is? Are the coaches supporting him in this? I haven't found out anything about this. I know the Olympics are from late July to mid August. If he goes that would give Marquise enough time to come back to the team, and get ready for the season. He'll be a senior so he already knows the offense. I would appreciate it if anyone on here has some real first hand knowledge about this.

Legit I have a good buddy from Clear Brook on the track team. Heard some good stories about Marquise over the Christmas break.

I can ask, but last I heard he said the Olympics were a no brainer.....if Marquise qualifies.

Track season already conflicts with spring practices, Olympics or no Olympics and Goodwin is participating.

Its not just Marquise, DJ Monroe runs track as well.

Does DJ have Olympic caliber talent? I didn't know this about him.

Not Olympic caliber sprinter. But he is on the UT track roster. Just check the website.

It shows the schedule, track season definitely interferes with spring football. But these guys have made it work the last few years. And they are just some of many kids that do it across the nation. The Olympics for Marquise would do much more than impact spring workouts, it would impact season(s) potentially.
