Where is the best place to stay for Mountaineer fans that want to enjoy Austin? We are coming in on Thursday-Sun for the game.

Downtown. Then it is up to your price range. Driskill and Four Seasons are the best. San Jose Hotel is the coolest.

It really isn't an issue--lots of decent places in all the price ranges.

Have you seen the prices for rooms in Austin around the Austin City Limits dates(oct 12-14th) or even the inaugural US Grand Prix dates(three day weekend around Nov 17th)? $130/night might not be a bad deal...lol

Yep, I bet they're sky high, but I stay out of Austin whenever there are big events, like SXSW, ACL, Texas Relays, etc. Eek

Be sure and check in at WVa headquarters: Oil Can Harrys.
I hear they're planning a big get together for that weekend.

Can't think of the name, but there is a cool retro motor inn on South Congress.

The key is let all the Aggies that are there buy you drinks, and then leave after a couple of hours. Very cost effective.
