From reading this article on Taylor, one thing for sure seems true. Fred Taylor is a very good father who loves his son.

Niiice. Wish we could have gotten these skill guys in this class but can't complain. Champ is cleaning up. One thing is for sure...with the way he's recruiting either he's going to win big or the next staff will have a loaded roster. At least potential wise anyway.

Which is what we have been telling the anti-champs and sky is falling crowd. These things go in cycles. When Saban and Miles leave, they are going to have turmoil too. Champ is not driving the program in to the ground.

Agreed Tampa. Hope he works out because damn if we don't need some continuity. Between the last two years of Meyer's staff and last season this roster has seen too many coaches. At least the recruiting part is going right, hopefully everything else follows.

Hell, cheerleaders made honorable mention all-state in that class. No wonder he started in 8th grade. LOL!

I didn't realize we were in it for him. If he's anything like his dad I would have loved to see him in Crimson.

That is exactly what he is going to do. Own the state of Florida. Smartest move a coach can make if your coaching in this state.

Something happened with Ryan Green or else this wouldn't have happened. We have a third RB coming in to this class and it's not Ryan.

Yes, Bama was SO in the race for Kelvin Taylor that they made it all the way until February 18.
Just think...there were only 50 weeks left till signing day and we managed to beat out big old Bama for Taylor.

About 2-3 weeks ago, there was a lot of discussion about Bama. I think this is a result of the dalliance with Ryan Green. I am pretty sure Green is out of the picture now.
I believe that Champ getting burned on signing day has really effected his philosophy on recruiting.

You think Green abd Bryant are out fo the picture now? I know it would be hard to sell a kid to come when two others have committed, but with the abundance of RB talent this year, get three and RS one or two and skip it in the next cycle.

If those other backs were smart it wouldn't stop them. I mean who's going to keep them from pt, Brown? We have 3 backs on the roster, Gilislee, Brown, and Jones. Gilislee will be gone by the time they got here and the coaches thought so little of Brown that when all the backs went down they played Burton and a fullback ahead of him. Plus the NFL no longer looks for the workhorse type back, they want guys with minimal wear and tear. Splitting carries is the best thing they could do for their future.

That's exactly what that LSU frosh said. It kind of shocked me really. Most kids want to be the man. But when you think about it, as a RB, you only have so many carries lifetime in your body and that is it. From a selfish perspective, why waste those carries when you aren't getting paid? The NFL is not going to pass on those LSU backs, b/c they split carries.
Michi, unless something has changed in the last 2 weeks, the Gators are not that interested in Bryant. Bryant himself has stated as much. And yes, I think practically speaking, we are out of it for Green. I am sure the coaches will keep recruiting him, though, until they think it is hopeless.

Yep Tampa, its getting that way with just about every position save o-lineman and QB. Teams would rather have 4 good guys that 1 great one and 3 mediocre guys. Just about everything is done by rotation now. Miles was very smart to sell that angle to the LSU backs now our coaches have to do the same.

There is another coming. I think we do get three, but the third will be a completely different type of back....think smaller speed guy like Green.

If we can get him, Alvin Kamara would be the perfect 3rd back for us, of course to get him we would have to send him... 106 letters in a day.
