Had a great time tonight at the Yum! Center watching Van Halen....got Jimmy Buffett tickets in two weeks. So, glad we built this great arena in downtown Louisville. Best use of my tax dollars, hands down. Love the fact that the best concerts are coming through Louisville and not Lexington, KY.

I think we shouldn't have built any bridges between Indiana and Kentucky! Get it?

Hey, I'm not disagreeing. It's amazing what you can do when money is no object.
(BTW, what's David Lee's vertical "jump" nowadays?)

East, from what I've seen of attendance at most basketball games, Jurich is counting every single Hoosier license plate in the parking lots.

Seems like a good deal to me the city can prop up the arena and the state can now prop up KFEC.

The arena is great. Yes.
Whether we can pay for it. Still an open question.
Two different things.

I too had a great time at the Van Halen concert last night, with the exception of seeing so many people wearing their UK shirts and hats, and blatently ignoring the no smoking rules inside the stadium. There needs to be a rule banning anybody wearing anything UK, from entering the KFC Yum! Center.

UK fans from out in the state crack me up when they come into the big city. For some reason they think coming to Louisville is heading into the war zone.As if Loisvillians don't get a healthy dose of uk fandom from the half million uk fans in our city.lol

This is why i would rather see the NBA in the YUM! Center than see UofK in there anyday or the week. You think its bad during the concerts, wait until the NCAA Tourney starts. And Let's not forget the womens tourney in 2013, could have the Lady Kats in the YUM! Center also.
