Aggsy is absolutely unbelievable.

Since committing to Texas, Tyrone Swoopes is "not SEC good." Really. Apparently Alabama, Arkansas, LSU and Auburn thought he was SEC good. But Stoops, Miles, Saban, and Chizik are not as good at talent evaluaiton as the geniuses on Texags.

Oh, but he is not good enough for Sumlin's offense.

This would be hysterically funny if they were not serious about these statements.

and you expect anything different from that retarded fan base ? They seriously believe they will compete for a conference championship in the next few years. Something they could not do in this so called soft Big 12 conference. I predict WVU will win a conference championship before they do.

I predict SMU will win a conferenc echampionship before they do.

They are looking at a long string of 4-8 seasons. They cannot compete with Bama, LSU, Auburn, Florida, etc., etc. Those teams know how to get away with paying players, Aggsy will get caught if they try it. And with losing seasons and embarassing losses come bad recruiting classes. Players want to be competitive not to get their butts handed to them week in and week out.

I expect them to have their first winning coference season early in the 22nd century.

Aggsy is not Okie, I'm just not sure little brother has what it takes to get away with it. STill, no harm in trying, I dont think the NCAA enforces sanctions in the SEC SEC SEC, they just slap them with endless probation. They can't very well sanction the whole conference.

The $EC move has truly become an unmitigated disaster and spring practices haven't even started. The hiring of a coach who did absolutely nothing except when the kids prior coaches recruited were healthy only pours salt in the wounds. This hire is equivalent to a black Sherman and did absolutely nothing to improve the program. The SEC won't allow students to stand behind the visitor bench, donors now have to take a 5% increase to help pay for increased travel and a ****hole stadium. All while missing out on equal revenue in the Big 12 and losing out on natural instate rivals.

Spin it all you want, but kids aren't enamored with getting butt f*#ked for four years in the SEC only to finish no better than 6th each year.

Awesome move......f*#king awesome

I think what Aggsy fails to realize is that they're not SEC good. They're also not Big 12 good. In fact, they're not good at all and won't ever be; they're pretty much an also-ran wanna be program that looks forward to living vicariously through the exploits of the conference big dogs.

they keep bragging about how they are in the best conference now, but being a bottom feeder does not make you good team, it makes you a bad team in a good conference with all new coaches, new qb, and a complete cluster f&#k first year.

I got to admit, Black Sherman has a nice ring.

"The 761st Tank Battalion was the last of the three United States Army segregated combat tank battalion during World War II. The unit was made up of African Americans soldiers, who by Federal law were not permitted to serve alongside white troops. They were known as the “Black Panthers” and their unit's motto was “Come out fighting. The 761st was the first group of African American tankers to reach France. Assigned to Patton’s 3rd Army, the 761st saw heavy combat as they moved across France and Germany. Nearly 50 members of the Battalion were decorated for bravery in combat, including Corporal Buddie Branch."

I think the best Aggie quote on Swoopes was "he's no Reggie McNeil". Still not sure if that's a joke or not.

Here's some more unintentional aggie comedy:

Ketch Seems to be Unaware of D. Griffin....

Every day on the radio this week he has referred to RSJ as the best receiver in the state. He also is very fascinated with his baseketball ability. Hmmm.

This begs the question - does overdosing on Lil' Debbie snacking cakes effect the brain?

It's ketch. What do u expect? He will rate players that are sips or are sip leans higher than aggie players. In fact I'm impressed he rated griffin as high as he is on his Lsr list b/c he never does that.

Did the fat man even play football?

The punchline: Liucci has RSJ rated #1 in the entire state at any position.

You guys crack me up, Swoopes is a great talent and any coach who would'nt take him is retarded, does he fit every system right now? No he doesn't but its the job of a coach to develope him and have faith that you can. I like Griffin better the RSJ as far as offenseive weapons go but they are the same type player with the same types of physical attributes so fighting over wh is better is really just dumb. None of the guys you have landed so far were unexpected, a kid like Samples will be a true head to head battle as I know we are very hard after him (not saying we weren't after your other commits). So far IMO our commit list really mirror each other in terms of talent, I still have questions on Raulerson but I am in the minority in that regards so we'll see on that one.

My thoughts exactly. Pooch you made some decent points at first but when you made this comment your expertise as a "talent evaluator" went below zero

I agree that your offers to Raulerson, Oliver and Swoopes were an exercise in futility.

My questions regarding Raulerson is how much size he add and how will that effect his athleticism because that's going to be a big factor in where he plays.

Glad you are still worrying about OUR players.

Pretty sure he is athletic and won't lose that. If he gains a lot of weight/strength he would probably be DT, otherwise he would be just fine at C. Either way, he doesn't have to be some super athlete to play in the trenches in between the hash marks. But thanks for worrying. We will forward your concerns to him.

If he doesn't add another pound he's a great size for a TE or DE. He's never played TE before so that's a position that you're completely projecting at, but he could be a nasty strongside DE. Texas hasn't had too many guys at that size at that position when they arrived on campus.

It's going to be fun to see which position coach wins the battle for him for what position he's going to start his UT career at.

And even if he doesn't pan out, when this recruiting class is finished and is as good as any we've had at Texas and he's a major reason why I'll be more than happy with him.

I've seen him reported at 6'3 235 and that is not a strongside DE, of course he can add weight but that brings back my point as to how effective he will be adding 40 lbs. I'm not questioning whether he deserves his ranking our is an elite prospect but I do wonder how he will translate into college. If your banking on him being a TE then I think you are going to end up disapointed, just my opinion.

Where have you seen him reported at 6'3 235? I just visited every major recruiting site (Rivals, Scout, 247, and ESPN). None of them have Raulerson listed below 6'5 250. One of them has him at 260. By watching him in the one on one drills at a Nike camp last summer, he is clearly taller than 6'3. He was taller the Michael Starts who was listed at 6'4. He was at least every bit as tall as Adam Butler who was listed at 6'5 (he looked a little taller to me).

With him being 6'5 250, he is not the first tackle prospect on the light weight side. Russell Okung was listed as the exact same size as Rualerson coming out of high school. Jason Smith was list as 6'5 220 coming out of high school. Duane Brown was listed as the exact same size coming out of high school. D'Brickashaw Ferguson was listed as the exact same size coming out of high school. Joe Thomas came out at 6'6 260. I would say he turned out pretty well. Eric Winston was similar size as a TE coming out of high school, but ended up moving to tackle. Tony Hills had similar size, and besides his injuries, he was a pretty good tackle for us.

Looking at the 2011 draft, Nate Solder was listed as 2 inches taller and 10 lbs lighter coming out of high school. Tyron Smith was listed as 5 lbs heavier out of high school. Anthony Costanzo was listed as an inch taller and 5 lbs heavier. Three of the 5 OT drafted in the 1st round were of similar size.

He probably should be listed as an athlete at this point, but I think most people believe he is an OT prospect. He is a guy that could clearly play strongside DE or OT.

Also, Saban, Petrino, Chizik, Meyer, Stoops, Brown, Spurrier, etc. disagree. He has offers from coaches that have a combined 10 NCs. Those who know football the best wanted Jake Raulerson on their football team. He has offers from 3 of the top 5, 6 of the top 10, and 10 of the top 25, and all this is while committing early. Several schools probably didn't have the chance to offer.

He was clearly a good get. Now, whether or not he pans out is a completely different story.

You seem to be neglecting the 3" height and 25 lb aggy weight shave, which is mandatory after commitment to the horns.

It's an aggy tradition!

With the motor and aggressiveness, I could see him as a Brian Robison type strongside DE right now, but a lot is going to depend on what happens to his body in the next couple of years. If he gets huge, that's obviously not going to pan out.

I like this guy Raulerson a lot, think he's going to be a good player for us for several years. I like everything I've seen on him, from his highlights to the video of his phone call to Mack telling him he was committing to Texas. And he does remind me a lot of Brian Robison, who I liked a lot too.

Pooch:

Name a program other than A&M. Name a coach you respect as a talent evaluator other than Sumlin. Raulertson had an offer forr=m that school and that coach. Almost certainly.

His offer list was a Who's Who of achools and coaches. And that was before NSD for the prior years' class.

I think Saban, Miles, Stoops, Brown, Ohio State, USC, Oregon, Michigan, and Stanford know just a wee bit moee than you about evaluating how a kid's talent is likely to translate to the college game.
