Great job up there in Chi Town. Looked like there were more CARDS fans then DePaul fans. Only CARDS fans can do this. Awesome.

60 bus loads of UofL fans. 60. SIXTY! That was great to see! The UofL fans were louder than the Depaul fans by a long shot too. That is support. That is UofL basketball.

It was at least 60/40 Card fans. The entirety of the fans in the upper level were for UofL and the lower level corners were all red. There were also pockets in the lower center as well. Great turnout.

I read that many of the UL contingent were from area church groups. Does anyone know who organized that? Was it through UL or just thru the churches?

The Cards fans were louder at times for sure. I will be in Cincinnati Thursday night for the game.

I can't tell you how GREAT it was turning the game on when they showed all those UL fans packing that arena! Great job to everyone who made the trip up there! A friend asked me to go but it was too late notice :/ Maybe next year!

I know a bunch of people who went but none were with a church. Different social clubs and individuals have been organizing bus trips like this for years all the way back to the Metro Conference days. They would rotate between DePaul, Memphis and Tulane for partying trips/ballgames. No more Memphis or New Orleans, so the Chicago trip has grown more and more lately.
It's a party opportunity for many die hard Louisville fans that can't get tickets to the Yum Center or even Freedom Hall back in the day. Some churches may have started organizing those trips but a lot of other people started organizing them too. I even know a group that also goes skiing as a part of their trip. That's right. Black folks on the slopes.
BTW, it was perfect timing this year too because Chicago hosted "The Legends of hip hop" concert saturday that featured the artist whose song I picked my moniker from(Big Daddy Kane) along with Rakim, Whodini, EPMD, Mc Lyte, DA Brat, and DJ Cut Creator.
If I had not have come to Louisville 2 weeks ago for the New Edition Concert, I would have made the Chicago trip. Columbia, Mo is too far for two trips that far, that close.

Yes, a lot of people participated but the majority was church groups that made it a day trip. Good job by everyone and all the people who drove up on their own. Cincy should have a lot of Louisville fans as well. I've driven up to Cincy before but not this year.
