KD drops 51 on the Nuggets

Heck of a game between OKC & Denver. Just ended 124-118 OKC in overtime. Former Texas Longhorn star Kevin Durant drops 51 on the Nuggets, the first 50 game of his career. If he keeps up at this pace he could be the first player since the great Michael Jordan to win 3 straight scoring titles.
He was 19 for 28 from the field including 5 for 6 from 3 point range a remarkable percentage. He also had 8 rebounds. His fellow All Star teammate Russell Westbrook scored 40 on 16 for 29 shooting. Finally Serge Ibaka 14 points, 15 rebounds, & 11 blocks for his kind of triple double.
He may have only played one season at UT but by the time his NBA career is over he will be the best NBA player to have played at UT even better than Slater Martin, a former UT great NBA HOF'r from back in the day.
Kevin Durant makes me Longhorn proud and all us should feel that way about him.

CaliforniaHorn, I just got home from the game. I was blessed to be there. Durant is a fabulous player. He is a team player above all. He, Westbrook and Ibaka put on a show. 51-40-triple double
first time by one team in NBA history.

I saw the first 3 quarters missed most of the 4th (my wife had the remote, talked her into letting me watch the rest of the game :) and then I saw the overtime. He was just on fire. His shooting percentage is over 50% and when you consider how many times he shoots the ball, that is remarkable. They can talk about Lebron & D Wade, and Derrick Rose of the Bulls is great also, but I think the OKC Thunder can beat them. Time will tell. Hey are you going to the games in OKC when Chicago & Miami are there?
