Gator Legacy...

0 like 0 dislike
Fred Taylor's son declaring "Gator" has spurred some legacy discussion...so why not a UF "legacy" thread? Name the one's you know...I'll start out with the Lee(father), and Travis (son) McGriff combo.

Also include "possible" kids in the recruiting pipeline.

I didna know that....

When I was a UF student, I coached a 11-12 year old baseball team. My last year, Travis was 11 and played on another team in the league. Are Perry and Mark younger brothers?

The Peeks:

Scott Sr. (1st Gen)
Gene, Scott Jr. (2nd Gen)
Scott III (third Gen)

Unfortunately, Colin Peek went to Bama- and burned us for a touchdown.

Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention Ali Peek- former Gatorbait / ITG staff writer. I'll post a link to one of her video previews, because she's kinda hot.

Perry is Lee's cousin. Mark is Perry's son.

And, although we're talking football here, note that Lee's dad, Jack, ran track at UF.

Definite Gator family, fo sho.

The second generation "Scott" went by "Skipper". Skipper played at Tampa Jesuit and graduated in '76. Skipper would have been a Gator at the same time Collinsworth played. He had a very hot sister named Nancy, and two younger brothers who were identical twins, George and Billy. George and Billy were great HS athletes who went to Plant HS in Tampa. I don't think they played college ball.

Perry McGriff is a man that Roy Rogers has never met.

Collin went to GT out of HS. Did he go there because you guys weren't using TE's at the time or what?

I don't know. My theory is that he was dropped on his head as a baby.

My grandfather is good friends with Vernells family, when I went on my visit to UF I was compared to him at the time. He was a good guy to have in the program for sure, I was always rooting for him to play more because I knew his effort was great and he wanted to win. I myself would have been a second generation Gator legacy had I not gone to Alabama, my grandfather played baseball at UF in the 60's..
