the 2012 Heisman Trophy chase?

When Clemson was 8-0 with victories over Auburn, VA Tech and FSU, it appeared that Tajh Boyd was well on his way to a possible Heisman Trophy. The sensational play of Sammy Watkins was also generating a buzz as well.

Although the season ended with disappointment, there's got to be a great amount of optimisim regarding what these two players will be able to accomplish in 2012.

What are your thoughts on their possible Heisman candidacy for 2012?

As far as garnering Heisman attention, how do you think Boyd and Watkins compare to CJ Spiller who made Heisman noise in 2009.

Boyd has already come farther than I ever thought he would from the preseason reports, but glad to be proven wrong. I still think he has a ways to go for Heisman consideration, and his decision making under pressure will need to improve. I think his only hold up in 2012 will be our OL, but he'll make some noise and IMO set up a run at the trophy in 2013.
