It's official: LSU in Fayetteville, Ole Miss in LR....

listed as a Saturday game, but may be moved to Friday. I actually hope it is a Saturday game since in RRS. Hard for people to drive up day after Thanksgiving, and if 1:30 Friday game won't be much of a pregame atmosphere. Hope students show up- two day break may not appeal to them.

All good by me- just win baby.

Good stuff, LR gets 2 cream puffs. I hope this doesn't get the haters flying planes again. The LSU game will not sell out so a blackout might be in order.

This one thing I know--the attendance will be greater than 55,000. So, even if it doesnt sell out, more fans will now be able to attend.

If both teams are ranked and the SEC West is at stake, it'll sell out.

Not on Thanksgiving weekend on a Friday, in the middle of the day. We will see if 55,000 shows up. I have serious doubts, unless LSU brings 20,000 fans. NW Arkansas doesn't have the population to sell out. You have to think fans will travel and give up family traditions. Also add extreme gas prices are predicted. I understand that UA believes they can say and fans will do. We will see if Long has it like that or not. I say he doesn't. I say he is in the wrong state to bully fans around. I also believe many fans will not go to protest Long screwing with their traditions.

I don't see how everybody is upset by this. WMS is a great place but it's time to move on. We should leave LR and put that behind us. UT seels out every game and there in the Eastern corner. Florida, he'll Gainsville might be smaller than Fayettville. They have no problem. Arkansas fans need to quit bitching about driving the 2 hours from Little rock to Fayettville. I drive 2-3 times a year from Louisville, KY. I guess for my sake they should play some games in Memphis!

Where do you tailgate at Fayetteville. I was up there from 64 thru Jan 69.
I go to LR games to tailgate only watch on TV and drink. Want to do same at LSU game.

Top, you and I agree far more than we don't but you are dead wrong on this. If there is someting on the line (and I'm sure there will be) this will be a marquee ticket. One you will be lucky to get. I guess this shows where Ole Miss is in the pecking order. Nobody in LR cares that they got picked up. Personally I think we just got tired of showing that dump of a stadium to the nation the day after Thanksgiving. People tune in thinking they are seeing a high school game. Now they get to see a Football Palace.

The key for our team, from now on is a great spring, no injuries and NO ARRESTS! We all can then expect a great season(another) next year!
Go Hogs!!

Col, I agree that this generation likes new and big. WMS doesn't fit that description. I'm almost 48 and with myself and many of the older generation, War Mem is a classic football stadium. But you are right, it is time to move on. Great memories of LR battles, but now playing top teams in LR hurts $$$$ for the Univ. Only instate players can really feel that pride and excitement of playing in LR. JMO Go Hogs!

Who's bitching? Those states have much larger populations. I couldn't care less. I would go watch them play on a peewee field in Mexico. This would be over if all games were moved when RRS was complete. It should have never been drawn out this long,

Arkansas is full of bitchers and whiners passed on from generation to generation. I have been all over the world and Arkansas is tied for worst with the French. Both are 10 fold worse than the.next contender. I was working at the UA one time and saw two guys going at each other about which one had more keys to things at the UA. After listening some, I finally understood that in their minds the more keys the more important. Instead of going out and working their way to the place they want to be, 90% of people in Arkansas lay around and bitch and whine. While they wait on what ever government check they receive. The best thing Arkansas could do for itself would stop taking EBT cards.

Wow, Top. Think you need to take a break. All that bitterness will eat you alive.

The French?! Really?

I'm almost 58, born in LR but now live in the Dallas area. We love going to games and have driven to LR the night before and then drove to Fayetteville and have also driven directly from Dallas to Fayetteville on game day for games. We enjoy talking about football and anticipating the game that we almost forget about the drive. Then enjoy the drive back home after a win. If you are a fan you will drive anywhere to see the Hogs play especially at the great facility up in Fayetteville!

Good Grief!! There are whiners in every state in the USA, there are people on welfare in every state in the USA. What in the heck this has to do with Razorback Football and the LOOOOONG overdue to move the games (especially the important ones) to Fayetteville beats me.

At one time WMS was the better place to play than Fayetteville which gave LR 4 games and Fayetteville 3 games. Then the power of the state shifted due to Walmart, Tyson, JB Hunt, etc. More money in NWA rather than LR. This contributed to the call to finally do what so many other schools do and play a majority (if not all) of their games where the school is ACTUALLY located. I say set your gripes aside and root for the team you love. This is an exciting time for the Razorbacks and although I can certainly understand some disappointment in the "wind of change" I would encourage you to move on from it. After all, it is what it is. WPS!!!!!

Very smart move by Long and Co. This puts Bama and LSU in Fayetteville...now if people want to make sure they get tickets to both games then they had better order season tickets and also donate to the foundation if they want to improve seats. This could turn out to be a very nice raise for the dept simply by selling more season ticket packages. WPS

I think Long played this whole deal quite smartly. So much so, that when it was announced yesterday the LSU game was going to be played in Fayetteville, there was a collective yawn. I reviewed some of the message boards and listened to the two state-wide radio shows yesterday evening, and people were fairly calm about the whole deal. I halfway expected a few people to gather their pitch forks and light their torches. None of it.

I was unsure of Jeff Long when he was hired. Over time, I'm liking him more and more. His fresh, un-good-ol'-boy perspective has helped him, and he's done a pretty good job hiring coaches, I'd say. UofA sports has a bright future!

And if nothing is on the line? I get season tickets only to Fayetteville games.

Yes I am. I can't attend games because I have to work 7 days a week to pay taxes for a new Escalade for someone that doesnt't work. I get season tickets every year only to have to give them away. Then I come here and see fans bitch because they have to go to Fayetteville to see the HOGS. I can't not work because I don't qualify for anything, not even unemployment.Yet I have to pay $20,000 a year in taxes. Okay I'm done venting until next year.

The only bitchers and whiners in the countries you listed (other than the government) are in jail or excuted. So I don't follow. Sour grapes, again, I don't follow since, I already said I only buy season tickets for Fayetteville games. Unless you are talking about having to pay for other peoples kids and lazy people then, you are correct.

Just seemed like someone is having a bad day. Besides, I like France. I really find that people are people wherever in the world. However, situations can be very different.

I always have a bad day when I see someone order a pizza and pay with a EBT card, then play a few hundred dollars on scratch-offs while it is being cooked then, leave in a $50,000 car.

Top I have always said if one does not want to pay taxes or in your case see someone use a EBT card move to Iraq, Iran or someplace like that.

Its not the card, it some of the people that get them. Like dude said when I ask him, he works under the table. But your saying would be backward, the way I see it. Now back to sports.

I use to at home, about 15 minutes south on Razorback road. I haven't been able to get back to a game since 2007. I work 7 days a week from March until December (Riding season). I get laid off December through February (to cold to ride in Cincinnati). I work on developing land in Omaha, AR where I will start my cabin next winter. I figure 2 more seasons and I will be done and back in Arkansas for all the sports games.

move to RRS has nothing to do with Walmart and Tyson. Its about butts in the seats, and most of those come from south of Fayetteville. its easier to get there now, and we can fill it easier. Iif WMS had 75,000 seats, it would still get the games, but that won't happen, and I am resigned to see the tradition vanish in a few years.....

Hogparking.com. Next to the old AGR house. No dudes puking everywhere or 18 year old freshman girls passed out in the back of a truck while other drunk 18 year olds wonder if they should call the paramedics or just put a cold washcloth on them.

The "Fayetteville tailgating sucks" complaint is so played out. I have much more fun tailgating in Fayetteville than in Little Rock. Maybe I'm too old now (31), but tailgating was fun in Little Rock when I was 18-20 and still cared about my fraternity.

No offense, but that's a moronic statement. I'll make any wager you want. Seating will easily meet capacity.
