I've never seen any of our players get in the zone/a zone where they can't miss a shot. Not just 3 or 4 shots in a row, but put up 30-40 points in a game. I once had 25 points 7 assists 7 rebounds 3 steals and 2 blocks in a college game(jk) hs game(not) ok it was church league and I only played half the game because I wasn't attending the church regularly enough. The stats are for real. I also won 100 dollars buy making 52 of 53 shots in a pop a shot contest in front of the Russell House. Dang that one miss! I also scored 5td's in an intramural f-ball game and my roommate and I beat the mess out of Marty Simpson and another USC player in a pick-up game. I also scored 10 times in an ultimate frisbee game in college. I could run a 4.8 and lift 300lbs at the time. I also beat a guy in a tennis match in high school and he had been playing 5 years and I had been playing 5 months. I could serve close to 100mph. I stunk at baseball because I took a line drive to the head when I was 5 and I never played again. Now, I'm 39 and I can't catch my 4 yr old running around the couch. I'm not healthy though and that's why it's fun to relive the so called glory days. Anybody else have any times when they were in the zone? I am spoiled because I remember Zam Sr. being in the zone almost every game and leading the nation in scoring with close to 30 points a contest.

It can just be selective memory. I am sure Devan had to have some games where he was in the zone, and I was very familiar with the career of Tre Kelley. Tre's senior year he lead the SEC in scoring on one knee and had a few games in the pre conference season where he was completely unstoppable. The game at Baylor Tre was unstoppable down the stretch, I looked up the play by play online.
Trailing 45-38 with 9 minutes to go Kelley took over, here are his shots in the final 9
8:55 Made 3 (45-41 Baylor)
6:38 Made 3 (47-44 Baylor)
4:11 Missed 3
4:08 Made 2 (50-48 Baylor) If memory serves this was a one footed fade away on the baseline
1:49 Made 2 (55-52 USC)
1:09 Made 3 (58-54 USC)
0:14 Made 2 (60-56 USC
Tre also had 36 at Rupp Arena the second most by an opponent all time at Rupp, that is a zone and half to be in

I'm sorry, but I meant to specify current roster. We've had some good ones over the years like Kelley, Downey, Mckie, Davis, Watson, Brent Price etc, but I meant post 2009.

Oh. I immediately thought of Kevin Joyce in the 2nd half of our game against Indiana - in 1972. He had 25 points in that half. Without a 3 point line. Unbelievable performance.

I was always in the zone in intramural football but one time, in an intramural basketball game I was in such a zone shooting that late in the game, clinging to a slim lead I started chasing down long rebounds and just covering up the ball and making the other team foul me. My teammates were thinking I was just trying to pad my stats (as if anybody cares about intramural stats) but the truth of the matter is I knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt that I could not miss a free throw that night. I think I went 10 for 10 down the stretch in that game. I've had a few other times like that in pick up basketball, maybe a day or two when playing golf where I just hit everything very solidly and in the right direction (never been in the zone putting unfortunately)

Have you guys seen anybody on our current 12 man roster in the zone, or for that matter in the last 3 seasons?
