Whether You Agree Or Disagree That Joe Pa Did Enough To Stop That Monster, He At Least Got A Chance To Tell His Side. RIP Joe Pa!

That's a bit Eek.

James 4:12
There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?

He's probably telling his side right now, but I don't know how understanding God will be.

I hope for the worst from those scum, and particularly from those in power who protected them.

In my career I saw old men, including professional athletes, break down and cry about the sex abuse they had experienced at the hands of priests and other such vermin. Late in life that experience still tormented them. One such incident is often a life changer in the worst way.

And when someone is abused, that person is much more likely to become an abuser later in life. The hell multiplies.

When the PSU thing broke, then the Syracuse thing, I was all but having flashbacks. I just wanted it to go away.

Nothing too bad can happen to those who did that, or to those who protected the perps.

Nothing and I mean nothing will ever get me to believe anything other than ALL of those in power, including Joe Pa, tried to sweep all of that EVIL under the table to protect the program, nothing more-nothing less. This was 9 years ago and Paterno knew damn well what was going on and he knew damn well what would happen to PSU if it got out.
Try to tell me with a straight face that he was told the graphics of a 10 year old in the shower getting sodomized and told his supposed superior and he thought it was fixed? What did he think when that bastard kept showing up at the office and what did he think when he saw Sandusky tooling around with young boys and taking them to bowl games? FOR NINE YEARS AFTER THAT INCIDENT! What would you think? Would you behave like that? NO, he knew and LET IT SLIDE. I bet if Sandusky raped his star freshman LB and made him quit football Joe Pa would have been outraged. But that's just me-how about you?

I have a question,if the details of this story were about a manager in a large corporation, say a company that runs hundreds of stores and it came out that the managerof one of the stores was privy to the same information as Joe Pa,would you view the circumstance and reaction the same?
I would and if the person of authority ,the manager or HC did not follow thru to report the incident to the police and continued to employee the person abusing the minor then he should be charged with aiding and abetting the person's actions and obstructing justice.
Joe Paterno was a great football coach,he made a self serving decision that begin with a GA and his parent, and as I understand it proceeded up the food chain to Paterno then the school president and the Chancellor.
There was an agreement and understanding established at some point that this would not be reported or see the light of day.
I can feel compassion for his family ,having lost their family member, however I can not gloss over what he did /in doing nothing to see this was acted on by law enforcement.

I'm Not The Judge Nor The Jury. He Did Nothing, And That's Just As Bad As Raping That Little Boy Himself. Also, He Could Have Saved So Many More. We Will Never Really know How Many Children's Lives Been Affected By That Evil SOB. As A Child, A Piece Of Trash That Call Himself A Human, Put His Hands On Me And My Brother. We Told Our Mother, And She Grabbed Her Gun And Shot At Him. She Missed, And I'm Glad She Did Because Growing Up Without A Dad, We Needed Our Mom. Sometime You Have To Believe People Still Have a Heart. I Just Hope People Learn From This Crap.
