In the end, it was a major stress out. He couldn't handle it anymore. Doc said not too live in Charleston anymore just to get away from it all. He's doing "fine" I suppose.

Surprising that the Doc suggested to leave Charleston - I guess that's one way to "get away from it all".

Yeah best way in the world, and nothing wrong with it. He gave it all he had and he has nothing to be ashamed of.

Bobby had to get away from Charleston because he lived within walking distance to his office. His doctor knew that he wouldn't be able to rest under these conditions.

I'm reading a LOT of opinion, opining, arm-chair psychology - can someone offer a 'source' for these opinions/reports/updates? Please. Thank you.

google "Bobby Cremins press conference health". Newspaper articles that we read, and still remember, but can't quote verbatim, might show up. Go on, give it a go.

1 - if folks don't like the source of information found here, Google can be your friend.
When I was touring the Smithsonian as a kid with my folks, I would ask my Dad what a particular display was. He always would say, "Just read the sign and it will tell you."

I love Bobby to death. I attended most of his home games as a Gamecock. There is a certain quirk ( refuse to call it a flaw) in his mental makeup that is unique to him. Sometimes things affect him more than they might someone else. I point to his coming back heer and changing his mind. Some of you with a better memory than mine might recall the details of an instance back in his playing days when we lost a big game and he literally disappeared for a few days. No one knew where he was. I think he had gone to NC or somewhere. He came back and said something like he had to clear his head. I think he's done coaching and he has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. He's a great coach, father, husband, and human being. God bless him.

As far as his changing his mind, everyones' hero Gregg Marshall did the same thing, except at another school.
I suppose you could call it a "certain quirk", but I call it an extremely passion about the game and an obsession to win. He takes losing very hard, and maybe some todays players are missing some of that. Just a thought.I know you respect Coach Cremins a lot but unfortunately some Gamecock fans (a vocal minority) have held one thing against him for over 20 years.

If he wants to get away from basketball, he needs to come back to Columbia. There's no basketball going on here.

He SHOULD come here and watch our games - it should be a big encouragement for him.
