Who plays point guard for us next year?

Loucks and Peterson are both done. Miller seems like the only option we have, but I feel he is more of a SG.

Ian Miller. I'm excited for it. I think he will do quite well.

Miller then Brandon off bench

Another huge ? Is what does our big man rotation look like next year? Feed Gilchrist and Turpin plenty cheeseburgers......let Shannon bang......Space should help at the 4. Sign two bigs in the late period? Any big prospects on the horizon?

I think if Ham could find just one quality big man in that 6'11 range we could be ok. Gilchrist plays like he is 6'10-6-11 with his length and both Space and White have length. Shannon hopefully returns like he started this year he was playing great and shooting well for him. I really hope Turpin is productive on offense. I think we will see an offense more geared towards up tempo and a lot of outside shots. Lets just hope we make a bunch of them! Montay, Bookert, Aaron, Snaer, Miller, Whisnet, and White ......there is enough talent there to shoot the ball I would think.

I just want our big men to be capable of rebounding and providing the kind of shot-blocking presence that's allowed us to dominate on defense the last few years. If they can score, that's just gravy. I think we'll have one of our more potent offensive teams in the Ham era regardless of what we get scoring-wise from our big men.

Sounds reasonable. If we want to get out-rebounded and outscored in the paint by 20 every night, that is.

I think it will be miller Snaer white Shannon and another big man. Space and whisnant will be the first two off the bench with Thomas.

And this definitely could be a weak spot in our defensive armor. Turpin is really the only guy projected to be on the roster who really could be a shot blocker.

Shannon definitely isn't. Gilchrist apparently plays bigger, but still isn't likely to be a consistent shot blocker. Same with Space.

The help side defense for the post and limiting penetration are going to be especially important to help overcome this likely deficiency.

Gilchrist is projected as a shot-blocker with his exceptionally long wingspan. He will need to gain some weight to be a force inside though.

This is what I always thought as well. Gilchrist is a ridiculous athlete that plays above the rim specifically as a shot blocker and finisher.

He obviously needs to gain weight but I've noticed over the past several years that shot blockers in college hoops are often skinny and quick leapers. Anthony Davis, Perry Jones III.......

Unless Hamilton brings in a transfer or a JUCO point guard, the player to watch in my mind is Bookert. He may be the closest thing FSU has to a true point guard on the roster next season.

Understood on Gilchrist... I guess I was thinking more in terms of the intimidating size of a 6'11" / 7 footer as we've had the last several years.

I think Gilchrist could do some things defensively and blocking shots like Singleton did and he had probably less length than Gilchrist and wasn't huge either.

Reading this thread has made me realize we might be just fine, if Ham can land just one more BIG in the late period. Sucks that we lose a combined 21 feet of center this year though
