and lock up the top overall seed in the SEC tourney, do we rest our starters in the last two games in preparation of the big dance? TIA.

I don't know if there's any reason to rest our players, we just had a week off. And this isn't the NBA where there can be 5 games in a week.

Nobody rests players in college basketball unless you're playing 3 games in 3 days like the SECT. 2 games a week is no big deal.

my guess is that he is not serious, lmao.

on the other hand i have been up over 24 hours and maybe he has a point.

why not sit ur players out and lose on senior night and, just give away a 50 game home winning streak that is well deserved.lurk

go cats

Calipari wouldn't do that. Most coaches wouldn't. Just a bad idea, and I think you'll start to see it less and less in football, given recent events.

Now, if we're up 20 on UGA in the second half, then sure, you put the subs in earlier than you might. But that's about it.

Yes. Of course.

Our starting lineup against UGA will be:

Polson
Beckham
Vargas
Long
Miller (just because its senior night...but he will come out and Wiltjer will play most of the minutes)

Funny thing is....we'd probably be competitive with UGA with that starting lineup.

If the OP means rest by not starting, then FAIL. If he means rest by not playing as many minutes, then RR has it nailed right here.

Instead of subs coming in with 2 minutes, they come in at the under 4 timeout.

You don't want them to get rusty and lose their timing. Just keep them flowing like a well oiled machine.

Cal is still trying to improve the team and every bit of experience helps. I think you might end up seeing a little more Wiltjer but thats about it.

If it were me coaching, I'd play the starters through the first couple of TV time-outs, but then I'd let Polson & Co. take the lead the rest of the way. Just my opinion...

Obviously, This entire thread was tongue-in-cheek. Let's run the table.
