How do the refs allow MSU to convince them to switch FT shooters?

Have you ever seen them do that without checking the replay? It's not like it was a ref that instigated it. Bost went to them and told them it was MKG that was supposed to shoot, and they just believed him? They should have to answer for that.

Wasn't it Davis who was fouled?

Yes, and he was at the line ready to shoot, when Bost went to the refs and convinced them it was supposed to be MKG. Gilly shoved it in their faces by making both though.

Yes, Davis was pushed in the back going for a rebound. He even told the refs that, they just chose to believe Bost. Too funny. Loved that MKG walked up, confident, and sank both. Nice try, Bost.

I agree I never seen that done without the refs atleast looking at the monitor .You gotta love how cool the Kidd was when injected abruptly onto the line and sank them both.

I agree . The refs should never just take a players word for it and for that matter why didn't they take Davis's word for it ? I would like a explanation to why they changed their mind .

Yea saw that. That was some weird officiating. I'm still mad about the T on Davis. And ESPN says "no one under him" implying correct call. Too goofy to see he would have landed on his head if he had let go of the rim. Yep, don't recall a game where the overall refing was so bizarre. Ted and Shows competing for calls and the other guy's whistle is stuck. FCC.

I agree the T on Davis was wrong but the following trip down the court by MS resulted in a turnover buy MS that was questionable. That call against MS, was a payback call.

May have been a makeup call, but it was a moving pick, which they seem to never call anymore in games.

They pretty much shat their pants on the Davis T. Very weirdly officiated game. Let them play at times called touch fouls at times and were super trigger happy with the T's. Conclusion: Refs snorted bath salts prior to game. Shows thought Davis was a pterodactyl and just freaked.

Also, you know that Bost didn't come up with that on his own. I'm sure Stansbury told him to do it. You take that, the shove on Gilly at the end, and the jawing Sidney did after he hit that early three, and MSU really didn't acquit themselves well did they?

Well, based on FT %, it was a dumb move then. MKG shoots a little higher % than Davis does.

Plus, quite frankly, MKG is a gamer and late game, all the chips on the table. Playing like he was ..... All I could think was that was a dumb move by Miss ST!!!!!

MKG was money in the 2nd half last night and he wasn't a guy I would have been in a hurry to put on the line over Davis.

The good news for us ..... unlike his Memphis teams THIS UK team is not going to give away games at the line.

Weasel, I think the reason they did it was that Gilly had missed his last FT. They just don't know how clutch Gilly is.

Maybe someone Bost knows had money on the Cats and needed to make sure we got the extra two points to cover the 8.5pt spread...3dGrin
