What does it look like? With Moody going to LB, does Williams get slotted to play next to Joyner in a cover 2?

I am thinking Joyner and Terrance Brooks will be our 2 starting safeties, with Karlos Williams backing them up. I am not sure who the other 2nd string safety will be. Possibly a true freshman like PJ Williams? We have several guys like Brutus and Keelin Smith who redshirted last year.

Joyner is the only clear starter. Los and Brooks will be competing for the other safety position vacated by Parks. Keelin Smith, Lamarcus Brutus, Tyler Hunter, and PJ Williams are all hybrid guys that can play corner or safety. These guys will probably get slotted as a backup at one of the four secondary positions as the off season rolls along. Waisome is a clear corner and Bright is a clear safety.

PJ has very good speed and cover skills, while also possessing good ball hawking abilities. He will certainly be a factor, however do not be surprised if he is only a special teams participant in his first year. There is always a chance he could redshirt, but he is certainly good enough to play as a true freshmen in some type of capacity.

I don't think Bright will ever contribute or play a down. I think Blake will contribute more next year

Totally agree. Just listed him as a safety. I am high on Blake, but I think he is all corner. I would also like to see Keelin Smith at corner. Tall corners in a zone scheme that can still flip their hips and run really puts pressure on a QB and neutralizes the taller wrs nowadays.

I like Brooks at Nickel with Los and Joyner at S. I'm interested to see more of Keelin Smith, Nick Waisome, Lamarcus Brutus, Tyler Hunter. Not to mention the young guys Blake, Darby, PJ coming in too! We are loaded!

There's another great one at corner...Blazing fast Darby. Brooks at nickel would mean Los is the starting safety opposite Joyner. It could happen, but do not count Brooks out as the starter and Los sliding into Mike Harris' vacated position. Brooks seems to be a better fit, though, since he has the corner background to go along with his abilities as a safety. He is a special player.

Always good for the rich to get richer here at FSU.

Bottom Line we are loaded in the secondary with existing and up and coming talent.

How did he ever get a ship anyway?

To get one of his teammates to sign with us. I think he was part of the Tennessee Hostess scandal.

The same way Corey Mangum did. We were desperate at Safety and had nobody. Our depth chart at safety was razor thing in 2008-2009. In fact, Mangum was a CB recruit who switched to safety because Myron Rolle graduated and we had nobody to start.

You could see PJ Williams in the rotation or starting at safety by season's end.

Bright, Brutus, Smith, Hunter, and Demps may never play. They were signed to fills space and to build recruiting ties with their high schools.

Karlos is having trouble picking up the system. Hopefully it clicks for him because he is a hard hitting monster athlete.

Waisome will fill Harris' role and Either PJ, Karlos, or Brooks will fill in Parks' spot.

I think Terrance Brooks will start at the safety spot opposite of Joyner. They'll go with experience first. Brooks is more than capable.

Disagree about Hunter and Smith...and even Brutus. These guys can and will play.

Keelin Smith was an under armor all American with offers from a ton of schools, you're way off on that one.

I remember a hit he put on someone in that game and it drew a lot of oohs and aahs

He's also way off on Tyler Hunter. He would have been a rivals 100 player in high school had he not hurt his neck, just read his breakdown on his recruiting profile. Bright is really the only one you could possibly say we took to attract teammates.

This isn't high school. We'll see what happens.

I think Brooks takes over for Parks. Karlos Williams, Keelin Smith, and PJ Williams will all play in some capacity.

Waisome will be the nickel and I think Darby comes in and takes dime.

We are loaded and the coaches will allow them to compete and the depth chart will shake itself out.
