Chane and Dieng got to stay out of foul trouble. UC is always a good rebounding team. I just don't see us having too much success with Kyle at the 4 to beat them. They're a physical team.

Yeah, and the move that puts KK at the 4 is an offensive move.If we can generate some points with the standard lineup,it probably won't be used.

I have not seen them play very much but I have read in more than one place that they play a 4 gaurd lineup for much of the game. If thats true seems like we would matchup pretty well with Kyle at the 4.

If that's true, that's a move that plays well for us.

If you fall down, cover your face, they like to get in a few kicks before anyone notices!

I remember last season that we could not get a rebound. Weren't we out-rebounded by like 30-40 or some atrocious number like that?

Can't afford to allow that to happen again.

Cards were outrebounded by only three, but it was FT's that led to the loss at Cincinnati. The Bearcats shot 24 FT's to the Cards 7. Obviously, the home court was huge for Ciny and the reason Pitino was upset we had to play them again down there two years in a roll.

Ok, it was the Big East tournament the year before then. Only 21, but felt like 40? Think half were offensive because they had 17 more shots. Just remember thinking "grab the damn ball"

his season Cincy is actually using some 3 guard sets and seem to be playing faster from the very few games I've seen. I think after the brawl and those guys were suspended they were forced to play 3-4 guard lineups and actually had some success scoring and playing a faster pace. Haven't keep up with them much since then so not sure if they continued to play that way.

Kilpatrick is probably the most deadly outside shooter in the Big East. Has a very similar game to Kuric, but with better handles. Wright will matchup well with Siva, but he's a better outside shooter. Dixon is great off the dribble, but has the tendency to take the air out of the ball. They don't have a very good PF, but if Louisville comes in there without energy then Justin Jackson could tear us up on the 50/50 balls. Gates is just a man, and Dieng will have to have more of a power game to stop him in the paint and grab defensive rebounds. Should be a great game, and Chane Behanan is the only clear edge I can see against the Bearcats.

Expect it is going to be really tough to go into Cincy and get a win.

Don't need to see them this year to know it is going to be a battle. Mick has got Rick's # similar to how Rick has got Jim's # (Cuse'). Just knows how to play them (chess if you will). I'm so glad Cincy did not fire Mick a year or two back when they were struggling. He is a great coach and a good guy. IMO it is going to come down to how Kyle and Chane play this game. The 4 is the key.

Prediction.......

Us by 5 b/c of free throws at the end.

When Huggins was at UC, I got a bigger thrill out of Louisville beating the Bearcats than the Wildcats. Now that he's at WVU, I kind of like him. A lot of the "sport hate" left the rivalry with him.

If Louisville can win at WVU, they're perfectly capable of winning at Cincy. Let's hope none of our boys get sucker punched.
