With all the attrition of last couple classes Auburn needs 25!

Question

Even though Auburn had highly rated classes the last few years Chizik's first 2 classes have been devestated by attrition and has lost an unbelievable 43% of those classes. With the fact that they have kept last years highly rated class intact is it of great importance that the Auburn staff signs a complete class this season to get the numbers back up even though they may have to take some more guys they didn't plan on taking?

Its easy to run your mouth and call names from behind a keyboard but not so easy when face to face! I think I will call you marshmellowtiger it fits better! Anyway, instead of running off at the mouth why don't you prove me wrong and post some info that supports that! Like I said already, Auburn has low numbers and most of their high ranked classes are gone, last years class is the one that is still intact. This years class don't have the ranking of the others but in my opinion it is in Auburns best interest to sign 25 even if you take some plan B's. It is almost guaranteed attrition will allow for 25 more next year so why not go ahead and fill up this year. Now there may be a good reason not to take all 25 which is why I post this thread....inform me if you know!

But just so you know, cletus if we sign 25 this year we can only sign 20 next year.. so why fill up on plan "b's" when we can get plan "A's" next year.

I thought the OP was reasonable pointing out what he thought would be best for AU. I think he was hoping you would discuss why that is true or false. I have no idea if his facts are right or wrong but why not just answer the question. And before you say it I did not read any jabs or any insult in his post. JMO.

Assuming no new commitments. If we renew two walk-ons (Burgess and Means) then we are back at 85. I guess we could lose some to attrition before August (hopefully not to injuries or arrest). We only have about 12 to 14 seniors, so I hope next year's class is about 15 to 20 too. That is the way it should be and I expect the SEC will adopt a 4 year scholly in the next few years. Most Big 10 schools did it this year. So, get used to classes with only 15 to 20 players. It is the wave of the future....

not "sure" Mr Smart ass but if we take the plan "B" kids this year then we have no room for them NEXT year... I'm pretty sure there will be plan "B" kids again next year, so why not save the spots and try next year? Understand or were you just being all updykey?
