Whats up will all the negativity on here. Hey guys, we won 2 games last year. Got beat by 20 plus at homecoming. Won 4 the year before. I am thrilled with what Coach Freeze was able to do today. Three Under Armour all americans that could of played for any team they wanted. A qb that was highly recruited, and looks like our first sec qb in a while. Some very highly recruited running backs as well as linemen and defensive players. Cant wait to see what Freeze and his staff can do with a full year. Already got one big ole offensive lineman.

I agree, although I dont pay much attention to "player stars/stats" , It's the players heart I care for by far. And only that we will be able to tell at kick-off. One of the biggest reasons I liked Billy Brewer was his ability to pick these kind of players, and it satisfied me. Ability is meaningless without heart!

Good points. I'm still disappointed that this class will rank at or near the bottom of the conference, but our ass was kicked all over the field the last 2 seasons by teams that had lower rated recruiting classes than ours.
It's about discipline, heart, and PRIDE - none of which Nutt's teams seem to have had.
Let's see what Freeze can do. That said, I am EXPECTING a top 20 recruiting class next year.

I would rather have this smaller class with Freeze and his staff than Nutt and his worthless assistants coaches. Sure Nutt would of signed a full class or more. But how many would of actually seen the field? Never seen a team lose so many players in a 4 year tenure of any coach. Freeze did a heck of a job keeping what Nutt already had on hand and adding a little bit to it. There were many schools after our top recruits and he kept them. I will admit he missed on some players as well. He didn't have a lot to sell but us being in the Sec. I think we will be a much better team this year and recruiting for next year is gonna be great.

I have to agree. Holding on to recruits coming out of such a negative situation, having talented player sign onto a rebuilding project when they could go elsewhere, is vastly harder than twerps think, and a much bigger accomplishment than following a good year with a good class.

like many folks seem to. We have enough talent to be competitive, and some of these newcomers will contribute. The big question now that we all should be concerned about is can Freeze coach???? Can he put the right guys in the right positions to win games? Can he motivate? Will he demand excellence on and off the field? Step 1 is to be in good enough condition to play 4 quarters instead of 2. If Freeze can do it on gameday, we'll be fine and move up in the SEC pack.

Coach Freeze and staff got Ark. st. to a bowl game last year, and I think some consideration for the top 25 at the end of the season. Don't think Ark. st. has been to a lot of bowls or had a lot of looks at the top 25. They were doing something right.

come in with a chip on their shoulders and work their butts off to prove they can play. we sure haven't had that in the last two years.

I'm looking for a team in playing shape that plays hard every play and looks to improve and keeps their heads up until it comes.

When a player receives a scholarship to play football it is up to the coach as much as the player as what that player will become. The coach has to one heck of a salesman and the player has to buy in. The player can choose to work hard in the weight room and on the field. If player comes in with a attitude that he going to chase girls, drink and hang with friends every night then that player will be a bust.
