Anybody see Old ball sac whinning to espn today

via a telephone interview? He was upset that SCar didn't get any attention today despite their best season ever, and he was trying to play it off humorously. It would've been sad if it was't so pathetically hilarious.

wasn't the best reporting day in the world today

someone at ESPN called Clemson "the bulldogs" today.

A reporter in Florida attributed quotes to Frank Beamer- that were actually made by an assistant coach. Apparently the reporter, listening in to a converesation between a recruit and a coach, couldn't tell the difference so he just went with it without verifying it - then had to delete some of his posts about it.

if Dabo can whine about a reporter questioning his team's toughness right after Dabo says they have to get tougher, Spurrier can whine about ESPN.

We all can play that game.

obviously sos should have thrown refused to talk to the espn reporter and told every other reporter that he'd be giving one on one interviews so the espn people couldn't hear him.

I sound like the 3rd grader? You are the one talking about a coach whining and calling him a crude name and I'm the one sounding like a 3rd grader?

ok

It would have been funny for sure.

But it is good to see Clesmon fans half way taking up for ESPN again. The Clemson hatefest of ESPN was getting boring.

Sure I can.

If you can call a grown man names, I'm glad to point out the ironic nature of you calling anyone a 3rd grader.

Taking up for them or not- still good to see Clemson fans jump on the ESPN bandwagon for a day.

Not sure what else "Columbia media" can talk about regarding it. It's been detailed in The State newspaper several times. The radio guys have reviewed the known information several times and are waiting on the hearing.

It's sort of boring radio to talk about it over and over when we have no idea the outcome - especially when it's been a lot more fun to talk about recruiting, and an 11 win football season and a nice win over Clemson and Nebraska to close out the year.

OK, I'll give you that my comment on the local media in Columbia may be outdated. Speaking with quite a few scar fans back around thanksgiving, they had either forgotten about the NCAA investigating you or thought it was complete and everyone had moved on.

However, where are you seeing Clemson fans jumping on the espn bandwagon? Laughing at your coach for the espn snubbing him and your team is far from jumping on a bandwagon...

Around thanksviving- it was a dead topic. Why would folks be talking about it in the media when no one had any news - and hadn't had any news on months and months. Makes no sense.

For the SCar fans that thought it was over and there was nothing to it- I agree. I saw fans that said the same thing. But fans aren't always the smartest bunch in the world.

I saw Clemson fans ripping WCCP a new one on Monday because- apparently to some posters- there was no Clemson talk on WCCP all morning. That was baloney. I was in Greenville and heard Larry Penley, and Brad Brownell interviewed live for at least 30 mins total. So fans are sometimes wrong in their "assessments." That's not unique to SCar fans.

Fans jump on the bandwagon when they feel it fits. When it doesn't, the story changes. Tigernet was full of fans ripping the BCS title game the Monday night it was played- fans saying they weren't watching beause of ESPN and the game they put together - all the while they were commenting on the game (because they were sitting there watching it afterall).

This is silly - SOS was sticking up for his program as he should. He was also having a little fun with them. I had no problem with it.

Bottom line here

Clemson and Dabo got respect from ESPN for a great season in which no one said they would win the ACC and make it to a BCS bowl game, but they did.

USC/SS got no respect for what they did, Blew the Season in which eveyone said, SS expected, fans expected, them to win the East and they blew it

so ESPN showed them no respect and sent no reporter to Columbia, and then to top it off SS cried about it on Nat. TV and was actually begging for more exposure.

SS has to lower himself to you Lows as a HC to try and get some respect to USC and he's seeing now it's a hard thing to do for a University that has no football history and noone actually cares about USCjr other than it's own fans.

LMAO at how low SS has gone and the crying he's doing at South Carolina

The bottom line is ESPN believed our recruiting class to be better than theirs so they covered us. It's that simple.
