Dang. Having lived in both states, I do know that AR has a much more loyal following than the Tigers. AR does not compete with the KC Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals. You will find the same is true with a lot of SEC schools. In southern MO, you see almost as many Hog stickers and plates as you do MU. Welcome to the SEC.

Another way to put it is that Arkie is a small State with nothing else going for it. Just the University and no professional teams. Its like Nebraska in that regard. Missouri probably has as many if not more fans than Arkie and they are certainly as loyal. We also have fans of other programs included within our 6 million population. If we passed a law tomorrow to eject the non-hackers to ensure a solid Tiger population our economy would go into the dumper and we would be poor like Arkansas. Except with fewer rocks.

Another way to put it is Missouri does a lousy job of supporting its main University. BTW, AR has a first class professional horse racing track in Hot Springs. That does not exist in MO! Univ of AR also has a much nicer campus than MU. I've been to both campuses and there is no comparison. St. Louis and KC have stellar reputations for being safe cities. NOT! Go back to the original post. Do you really expect SEC caliber fans to take that BS and not respond. Dream on. There are numerous things going on for AR that do not involve pounding your chest over your pro team. There are awesome lakes and rivers. It's a great state for an outdoor sports. I'm still trying to find all these MU fans south of Columbia?!

No one wants to think their State is second class. Heck even the folks up in North Dakota have State pride. He says Arkie has lakes, rivers, rocks and sticks. Missouri has those things, as well. He says they have horse racing. Personally I would rather watch the American Royal or attend a reputation registered Angus cattle sale. Once you have watched a few horses run around in a circle, do you really need to see that again? However, we have two NFL, two MLB, and one NHL franchise of feed our sports appetite. He probably should argue they have better looking rocks and sticks and leave it at that.

Their major export to the outside world is WalMart and the Duggers. Outside of that what does anyone in the other 50 States know about them? I suggest we commission an expedition and find out what is south of the Boston Mountains. I bet there is in fact a semblance of civilization between Texarkana and Jonesboro. At least Missouri had the good sense to keep East St. Louis in Illinois, while West Memphis is in Arkansas.

No, I would argue that we have 6 final four appearances to your none. I would argue that we have had a national power in track & field. I would argue that we have a better baseball team than MU. I would argue that Springfield MU dude's analogy of West Memphis versus St. Louis and KC is 2nd grade logic. I would argue that horse racing is much more exciting than watching a bunch of overpaid baseball players. I would argue that the minor league baseball games are a much better value and your typical fan has a much better ability to watch the game in good seats. I would argue that the fans at Cardinals and Rams games are not very attractive compared to the great sights at the AR games. I would argue that Springfield is not exactly a great entertainment venue. Springfield is a snore. I would argue that Springfield dude has a complex about the Longhorns. I would argue that the food and music is better in the south than the midwest. I would argue that you guys like to make yourselves superior to make up for the inferior results considering your vast population advantage. I would argue that the D1 talent in AR per capita is better than MO. I would argue that Springfield has a Meth problem. I have been to a Rams game. Not impressed. I've been to a MU game. Not impressed. We have people in AR who go to Dallas to see professional sports all the time. Lastly, I can't wait to see BAMA put the beatdown on you guys. Enjoy!
