but this business of kids with NO offers being featured on our front page and coming to visist our last weekend, makes me just a little ill at ease. That being said,no coaches were beating down our doors either. I'm fortunately in a new bird lease to supplement my fall. I DO support the Ole Miss Rebels and Col Rebel!

Shouldn't we try to get 25 kids on scholarship? Even I that the last 5-10 are roster fillers?

I mean, it's not like extra scholarships that we don't use carry over, right? Use it or lose it, right?

I'm at a loss! But hell Ar-kansas St could have beaten us last year so if we get someone who only had an offer from them lor their late dad want him to play sec, heck, bring 'em on. The hot shots havent paid off so well either, coaches included. I support The Freeze and am pulliung for him. He has a task for sure!

We would be better off to save a few on December jucos or transfers. If we sign them before the first of the year they would count on this years total. We can only sign 25 per year with a total limit of 85. Ranch, or somebody else, please correct me if I am wrong. There are alot of things that can happen before Dec 31. We might find ourselves in a position to get a steal if we have a scholarship available.

I also fear with looming academic casualties, we'll be penalized on schollies. basically, I'm scared sick maybe.

Granted Nutt made a mess of things, however, i have never seen academic penalties cost more than a few scholarships. We may just have to deal with more jucos in the immediate future than we would like. There may be a player like Mousolli (spelling) that can contribute right away as a transfer. Whatever transpires we need to hold on for awhile. This mess won't be cleared up over night. Nutt came here with much more to work with than Freeze has to work with.

This is the last year that you can "count back" players to a previous year. Any JuCos signed in December of 2012 will count toward the 2013 class.

Some SEC teams signed less than 25 in 2011. They are being allowed to "count back" December commitments one last time.

Yeah I mean really who wants players such as Patrick Willis, Dexter Mcluster, Case Keenum, Kellen Moore and Greg Hardy on your team we must have four stars with SEC offers or no one! Lol

I mean sure there will always be afew gems that slip through the recruiting rankings but the odds are better for the team full of four stars to be better than the team full of three stars, not to state the obvious

I'm kinda feeling sorry for ASU as Freeze is bringing his recruits from there. That being said ASU could have beaten us like drum the last 2 years, thank CHf'N! This is going to long and hard.

In a transitional class with limited scholarships, what do you really expect? We will sign Ward, Mathers, Gross, Burton, and Wallace. That's guys who can help this year... The other guys just need to "fit" in with the schemes and system.

Thank Houston Nutt for this disaster and mess of a situation, then turnaround and thank Hugh Freeze for salvaging this class because this could have been much much worse my friend...

Freeze did a decent job salvaging recruiting. Not great, but better than I expected for the worst football program in the SEC. This is a 4 year effort. Not much going to happen at OM for at least 2-3 years. Better load up on pepsid and prozac for the next couple of year Z. Looks like Richie Brown is going to end up at USM or MSU so what we have it about it. I look for the rest of the class to be made up of sunbelt and conf USA type recruits if we're lucky. Lets hope Freeze can coach.

Sad but true I'm afraid. Sorry for Brown to end up like that. I'll just hope Freeze continues to be a very lucky guy.
