The Other Side Of JoePa's Sandusky Involvement

0 like 0 dislike

#1 - Paterno NEVER DID ANYTHING TO HARM KIDS, SANDUSKY (allegedly) did.
#2 - Paterno passed McQueary's information on to the commissioner of University Police, Gary Schultz, and thought that he would know how to deal with the law enforcement side. Joe regretted that he had not pursued this with Schultz.
#3 - Nobody knew (or knows to this day) who the kid was with Sandusky in Lasch showers. McQueary didn't recognize him, and after 3 years the Grand Jury was unable to identify him. So there was no known victim on whose behalf Paterno could act.
#4 - McQueary testified in open court that he never told Paterno the details of what he had seen, simply said that "something of a sexual nature" had occurred. These were the words used by a Department of Public Welfare investigator to describe the 1998 Sandusky incident which he concluded was NOT child sex abuse. Nobody is crucifying this guy who prevented Sandusky from being prosecuted.
