That's a good read. I hope this next season of Eastbound and Down holds up. Best modern-day sports show around.

By far the funniest show one of the funniest shows every on tv. Seinfield, Mordern Family, and Curb your Enthaism are right their with it. Cannot wait for the 19th. I think we will all be pleased with what we see on HBO.

I only started watching Kenny Powers recently, but I have to say he is a true American poet and patriot.

Total blasphomous and inappropriate--yet I am chuckling at the idea (and the photo) before I even read the article.

I don't have HBO, so I have only seen a little Kenny Powers on You Tube (probably the milder stuff.)It is an original.

It is a shame that Christians have developed a reputation as those who are so easily offended. I found some redeemable truth in his satire. Those who think God has a special touch of blessing on Tebow and will bless everyone who is a "good" boy or girl is ridiculous.

Job was a godly man and he got hit pretty hard. God's purpose for doing what He does is always far beyond our understanding. You can't put God in a box and who would want a God that you could fully comprehend? If you can totally explain your god, he is probably pretty small.

Issues of faith and trust in God despite good or bad circumstances is what any true believer in Jesus Christ should focus on.

This world is finite and the most real things in life are not experiences by the five senses.

The satire in the fake blog is tongue in check and it raises good questions for those who think only good things happen to those who honor God. (This is a false prosperity gospel that is often peddled on TBN)

This world is broken and pain effects us all. That is what Jesus came to redeem sinful humanity to the perfect God. (" You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:6-8)

Bottom line, I like the "article." Hopefully it will provoke thought. (Sorry for the long post)

Hear what you're saying Muscle...good and bad comes to all...for everything there is a season.

I do believe that Tebow is in a season of blessing, however (not that I think Tebow's faith has anything to do with the seasons). I think God's purpose for Tebow is to be a visible light in a world that is dark. His mission field exposes him (and God) to extraodinary numbers of people.

In a season, Tebow goes from a guy who can't throw right to a guy who is pulling out 4th quarter victories and leading a team into playoffs, and is voted the most beloved athlete in some poll ... that's a Tebow blessing for a good and faithful servant.

Meanwhile--God & Jesus Christ and their message are in the minds of masses of people--some of whom may have decided to follow them. It's been an amazing thing to watch.
