How is AU's recruiting class looking?

Any ideas on who you will get in the last few days before NSD?

What do you think are your biggest needs with this class?

AU is going to get some good kids late. Seems like a lot of schools have recruited to their needs and with the new enforced 25 limit some schools just do not have any room. I would say AU will finished ranked best 12 worst 25. JMO.

^^^^^and some of you wonder why Auburn fans feel the way they do about some of the Bama fans who visit this board. You don't need to look any further than the foolish comment above. While the first two posts were good posts, fools like this guy always show up to muddy the waters and when they aren't policed by the other Bama fans, this causes some of the current feelings. Not making excuses, but trying to shed some light on the way many see it.

Personally I'd love another QB, but it's too late in the game for this I believe. WR is a position that will be good to fill for after Blake leaves. Also, DBs will be a nice touch too. The OL and DL should improve next year but depth is always a good thing!!

Auburn fans on this site talk about how Bama fans muddy this board and they can't talk football or have civil conversations. Well this is a pretty civil thread about recruiting and you are the only Auburn fan that has touched it. This happens a good bit actually. You say we should police our Bama fans but what about your fellow Auburn fans/family? It is obvious that they are more into the posting style of the Bama fan that you just called out than a civil discussion.

Now as for the topic of discussion I think Auburn will finish with a very "solid" class. I think you kind of did yourselves in the the OC/DC hires. I think you made a slam dunk hire at DC and a solid one at OC, but Chiz took so long on the hire that it looks to have damaged recruiting. We will find out soon enough though.

Bingo. I had a dual purpose in posting this. 1) I was actually curious as to the AU folks take on their recruiting, and 2) to see if it would be ignored by the AU fans in favor of other threads about us nasty ole bammers.

Reasonable post - ignored. If I had said something about Cam Newton or Gene Chizik, we would have 50 responses from AU fans by now. Says it all don't it?

Who cares? bammers can say anything they want about anybody they want on their boards. If a rival fan responds by making any derogatory or smartass comments about bammer, the rival fan is almost immediately banned. You and some other bammers should be grateful the same thing doesnt happen to you on this board

A rival fan would definitely be banned from almost any bammer board on the internet if they made any comment even remotely similar to the one dusty made

I agree with you abut the delay in getting the OC. It couldn't have helped us!! You also proved my point by not calling out the foolish Bama fan above. You deflected and said how AU fans should call out AU fans. Maybe one day there will actually be a flame free thread that discusses nothing but college football. Although that may be a sign of the Apocolypse!! Ha-ha

If Williams flips to Ga. and Recardo stays FSU it could get ugly.

I think Williams stays AU and Recardo stays FSU....still gives you chance to save class if that happens. JMO

We have a good rating on the kids we have on board now... just don't have enough of them thus far. Hopefully we close with some equally rated kids and finish strong. I am not even sure how many we need to sign.

Who knows what these 17/18 year old kids are going to do? It's a huge decision for someone that young and I'd venture to say that most of them aren't mature enough to be handling such a thing...Hopefully they have parents who are wisely guiding them in this process!! Unfortunatley with these young athletes this isn't always the case. Many of them are the first in their family to have the opportunity to attend college and therefore their parents have no personal experience in this arena to go off of.
