Landon Collins momma dont like shorty saban

0 like 0 dislike

Because the momma thinks shorty saban is a liar, tells recruits anything they want to hear, and makes promises he cant necessarily keep. Exactly what Auburn fans have been saying about shorty for years. He is a snake oil salesman who will say or do anything to get recruits to his school, including cheat, lie, and steal. Read this part of an article I got off ESPN.com

Landon included his mom when it came time to finalize his decision. That's how, with Collins leaning toward Alabama this fall, Saban came to visit Justin. She says the coach offended her during his stay by promising that her son would be a high NFL draft pick and receive a multimillion-dollar contract. "I think he stereotyped me," Justin says. In her mind, Saban had told her what he thought she wanted to hear, when her real concerns were about academics and how a program would take care of her son.

Saban's visit left a permanent mark in her mind. After Collins arrived in Orlando for the week of practices before the Under Armour Game, he called his mom to make it clear that he would likely choose Alabama and that he had reached this decision on his own. Justin responded with a text that said she couldn't support his choice and wasn't going to come to the game. Col

Well darn. I thought you might share something new. No accusing you of anything but I did not see much in quotation. Find it hard to believe she used the words cheat, lie, and steal. But I know you have repeated things like this so much you might believe it. But just so we can all rest well tonight how about sending us the link and the "real" quotes.

I bet you will go roll the dead trees over this. Try getting some of your OWN recruits to stay with Auburn, jerk off! How many more of AU's recruits are gonna jump off that sinking ship?

I do not keep close tabs on the recruiting but a buddy of mine does. I asked him about Collins Mom. He said Collins does not even live with his Mom but lives with his Dad and Step Mom and that the relationship with his Mom has been strained for some time. Also said his girlfriend is in school at Alabama already. Certainly does not mean he will for sure sign but if his Mom has a problem with Saban then it may only be just "clutter".

How did his GF get to alabama? The wildly circulating story is bama gave her a scholarship to get him. This is even coming from bama fans that I personally know. Will she be kicked out if he goes to LSU?

Calhoun, you are a sad person. 2 weeks ago you posted about showing respect and staying above the board. I guess that lasted as long as well...I won't go there.

Thanks for contributing. I'll await your cursing rampage.

Luckily his dad, who he lives with, does like Saban.

According to my buddy his girlfriend is an honor student and is on some kind of acedemic scholly.
I assume if she continues and makes good grades she can stay. If not...YES...we should and would cut her lose. Just like anyone who is on scholly for any reason if they do not perform they are gone. Scholly's are for one year and are renewable each year.

His GF had scholarship offers to LSU and Bama among others. She's apparently a pretty bright girl. Carnell Williams says hai btw.

I was on a very similar scholarship to Bama. If my GPA had dropped below a certain level for a single semester I would have been put on probation. The 2nd semester I would have been gone. My nephew, who is ironically from Louisiana as well, was offered this same scholarship and oddly enough, he wasn't even dating a football player, haha.

That lady is letting her fandom get in front of the decision her child made for his future.

Shame on her.

Just checking, until that little loophole is closed I hope AU coaches are using it to their advantage as well. I think Trey Blackmons GF was on a track schollie.

It's not really a loophole. If a person qualifies for a scholarship, why would he or she be excluded because of their significant other?

It can be perceived to be buying the player by offering their GF a free ride just so you will attend. Also Brothers playing together and one not being any good is another one. Kid @ Ole Miss and his walk on brother, the quanjo brothers, even the Armsteads may fall into that category, but Armond did come from USC and played, so not really.

AUMont,

It's Kouandjio--not "quanjo". Both were either 4*, or 5* coming out of high school. Their story is a lot different from Kennan Allen and his brother, and the Armsteads.

Yes it happens, but your comparision to the Kouandjio brothers, I think is unfounded, but that is just my opinion.

Peace--here's to good conversation.

Well I think they took the older one to make sure they got Cyrus. Thats why the total freak out when he committed to Auburn on NSD on TV, then never showed up. Maybe Kouandjio or however you spell it was OK out of HS, but he has never seen the field. Little bro was the one everybody wanted. Thats my point. Nothing wrong with it, just making conversation.

Understood, I think he did see playing time this year after redshirting, and then the knee injury took him down--the same that did his younger brother.

Peace--here's to a competitive/respective/clean 2012

Arie was pretty good coming our of HS. He was the #117th ranked player in the country and was a US Army All-American. He has never seen the field because 1) OL is the hardest position to make an instant impact as a young player and 2) he plays on a team with a pretty stacked and experienced OL. We return 4 starters next year and he is not a left tackle (the one position we have to replace).

After next season is when we will probably see Arie on the field. He is a Rs Freshman. He has plenty of time to develop.

Maybe, but Cyrus was the prize. He was playing as a TF before he got hurt.

Sure he was the prize but I wouldn't say we suffered too greatly by "having to take" his 6'6 315lb brother as the 117th rated player in the country. If we hadn't landed Cyrus, I'd still want Arie for sure.

Yes, Cyrus is a beast, but to say that Arie is not any good is just foolish. He played as a freshman and it is almost a lock that he starts next year. Arie will more than likely be our 6th OL. I would honestly not be surprised to see him battle Steen for the RG position and either start their or back up RT.

Typical bammer logic. Whine, cry and complain about people telling the truth about your midget coach being a used car salesman, but I doubt you say anything to members of your own dipshit fan base who spread rumors and lies about other schools

He doesn't say anything to "them" because "they" only exist in that effed up mind of yours.

Typical Auburn trash.... thinks everyone is out to get them. How do you get out of bed each morning with that heavy ass chip on your shoulder?

Clearly calhoun's standards = the lowest common denominator. He doesn't want to be bad but the Bammers make him do it. He is willing, however, to behave as well as the worst behaving Bammer does in his opinion.

haha, you can't make stuff like this up.
