I'm content, but I'm just pissed that it too Chiz 40 days to hire somebody that we could have hired much earlier. I think we wouldn't have lost Louis if we had a OC earlier.

The hire is very solid but why the fvck did it take so long to hire Loeffler?

Obviously not our first choice. Hopefully he will work out.

We didn't start interviewing until January 10th. I like our choice btw....all about developing QB's because our system will remain the same.

Having known, covered Scot Loeffler... great hire Reply
I was covering Michigan when Loeffler was the quarterbacks coach and throughout his entire tenure, the likes of Lloyd Carr, Bo Schembechler and everyone who was around Loeffler were tabbing him as a future major D1 head coach. Guy can flat out coach football, and was responsible for grooming the likes of Tom Brady and Chad Henne. When Brady first hit it big in the NFL, Loeffler was always one of the guys he mentioned as being key to his ascension and they maintain a close relationship. Worked wonders in recruiting too... helped him land Henne. Great guy too, very loyal to the programs he coaches for. I think this is a home run hire for Auburn.

I did not back the Dubose hire and was so so on Price. I did back Shula because at the time we hired him we really had no other choice. Sometime around year 3ish I was vocal that we needed to move on. Nice guy but over his head.

I do not drink the kool aid. I have opinions of my own and express them regardless of how they play out.
