Full disclosure....I have said many times on here I think Chiz is a solid citizen and that counts for a lot. I think he is an above average coach. You want these kind of humans to succeed but this recruiting class is going no where fast. I think some more established teams could get by with not hiring an OC to this point but I really think it is hurting AU.

You start the post by saying our recruiting sucks, chizik is a nice guy, and we arent an established program. What kind of response would you like especially with crimsundouchelicker chiming in with more bull? We lost Yeldon because he was afraid to get on our depth chart then makes up some story about AU not winning Heismans or something,(AU3-Bam1 and we won it last year) and we lost a WR that says he wanted to play with his buddy in Tallahassee. The last two starters at Alabama came in 1st and 3rd in the Heisman respectively. It's not a stretch to think that what the kid is saying has some validity to it.

Admittedly with the rotation that Saban likes to run, it is remarkable that any Alabama RB is in the Heisman race. I was pissed when Saban pulled Richardson in the Iron Bowl. I wanted him to drop 300 yards rushing on y'all.

Sorry but Ingram won because he was a good RB on an undefeated team, he wasnt even the best RB in the Nation. True an AU RB hasnt won it since Jackson, but Cam won it last year and he was half RB. Thinking he cant win the Heisman @ AU isnt very smart, so I can see how he chose Tuscaloosa campus to further his education.

Good article in the Bham fish wrapper this morning on this subject. There appears to be enough good players in play that have AU as one of their top three but you are going against some of the typical power houses for them. I guess the point of the article is that there is a chance to save the class.
