Our basketball team might want to get on the bus.....

At halftime. We might want to take notes from the bulldogs. While we're shooting 3's (while missing them) they're driving for easy baskets (and making them)! Our coach just sits there shaking his head.....come on mike....put a fire in their arse....chew on the refs....do something!

Looks like they never got off the bus! So far I'm very disappointed in MA and this team.

They might want to check our goal and see if their is vibrator on top of the rim. While typing this, I just watch a un-guarded bulldog make back to back 3's. We have no heart on the road. When we got back home I would run this team till they threw up, then I would Make them practice rebounding and blocking out.

They put the freaking subs/walk-on's in against us. Even tho John Calipari isn't liked on here for the way he runs a program (sleazy), the man coaches his players through the whole game. When a player screws up he let's the know about it all the way back to when they set down. Heck Billy D does the same thing. Our Coaches.... tonight......might as well been on the sidelines playing rummy, or gone fishing the way they stood around. Lead by example! Were a young team that needs to be talked too during a game. If this.... is the way to coaching a team and making millions then I want to put in a resume for the next opening available.

Mike will make many of you boys look like idiots. The man's resume speaks for itself. HE IS A TERRIFIC coach with a very young team that was delt a big blow at the beginning of the season.

This team took a huge step back last night no doubt, but too early to start this crap. He has maybe 4-5 SEC caliber players on this team, mostly freshman. Give the man a chance before you start torpedoeing him.
Not one of you would have predicted a chance to win 20 games this season.

Lay off MA! He will Get this ship righted sooner rather then later. He built Mizzou! This team is already an inprovemnet from the last 3 years. I'm very optimistic!

Look guys I've not said a word until last night. Everytime we lost, even to UConn plus Kentucky by double digits, I knew we where a young team and was letting him get his guys going later on. Also when we lost to Houston then all of our road games to LSU, ole miss, and Bama I still didn't say word, but I started noticing things that he doesn't talk to his players. Well he talks to them just not coaching them during playing the game. He doesn't seem exited. I'll admit I was on my soap box last night, but that was too much for me to watch that crap last night. It was everything to poor play plus coaching. We made the bulldogs look like Kentucky last night and when your best players are setting on the bench while the other team is getting a big lead makes one wonder what the Heck is going on. Sorry guys. I don't want to feel this way cause I was one who wanted Mike back home.
Maybe that game lit a fire under his arse and he'll now fire into his players and even get a Tec on the road to show the refs that "hey I see what you doing and I'm not backing down" type approach.

I think I saw him chewing tail in the huddle. But if they don't respond what then? You just have to shake your head.

I looked at the remaining schedule with 12 games left and thought 4-8 was a real possibility. Why? Because we have 8 scholarship players, no big man, and no experiience in a new system with a new coach. Powell going down was huge.
MA doen't have the horses. Period. You can tell from the opening tip of every game that if we don't hit our outside shots, we lose. We aren't going to bully anybody, we don't have the depth to play Hell all game, and our freshman get hesitant on the road after missing their first shot or two.
Relax, and watch MA build for next year- maybe even year three. Patience is your only choice, right?

Geez. After Powell went down I expected no more than 14 wins this season. They are a ahead of schedule in my book.

You saw just how soft this team is. Their guards were stronger than our big men. They looked like pitbulls running the court. Our guys look like stick figures on the court. I understand the freshmen but, the older players. MA needs to show them where the weight room is.

We have sucked the last few years..lose our top player before the season even began...play with 4 freshman and numerous inexperienced players...have already done better than most anyone expected...and you guys start this crap already. Man there is just no pleasing some fans!!!! I am not a huge MA fan but I will give him credit for doing more with this team than I was expecting. I am concerned about our size for the upcoming year and some of our recruiting....but for now he is exceeding my expectations so good for him and good for the Hogs!!!

Mike Anderson turned around a program in shambles at Mizzou left by Quin Snyder. He is a great person, recruits good kids and is a positive for the school overall. However, he is going to have to understand that 40 minutes of hell or fastest 40 minutes won't cut it against TOP teams who shred his press. His track record at Mizzou was to win at home, lose on the road and lose to Kansas. Haith has already beaten Kansas something Anderson couldn't do with the same players last year. All I am saying is he needs to focus on a half court offense and defense

Even with your low expectations, they still need to hit the weight room. Look at UGA's freshmen, they have been in the weight room. That is why they physically took the game. See OM and Alabama loss, also.

I wouldn't put too much stock in Haith just yet. Arkansas had a new coach (Pelphrey) come to a team of upper classmen and make a good run his first year too. Then it was all down hill after that. Also see Stan Heath at Kent State. I'm not saying Haith isn't all that, but rather it's just yet to be seen really. For all anyone knows, your squad might have played just as well this season if MA had stayed (after all Mike said he was leaving a top-10 team). Or perhaps his leaving has especially motivated them -- allowing them to really bond together to make the team stronger. No one really knows, but time should tell.

We'll be OK. Last night was an aberration. Georgia won't play that well again in years. The refs did their usual number on us. Blocks on our end were -and ones on their end. Everytime Sanchez sneezes it's a foul. Young players get discouraged when they're knocked down again and again by the refs and players having their career nights. Juri-sitch 3 of 4 on threes?? You gotta be kidding. We'll learn and move on.
Haith's record was 129-101 at the U.

I assume you mean's Haith's road record while at Miami. It was 29-54 which puts him at just 34.9% on the road -- only a tick higher than MA's 33.3% road record at Mizzou. Haith's Miami was 43-69 (38.4%) in conference games, whereas MA was 43-37 (53.8%) at Missouri.

Now I understand why they were so bitter when they hired him from UM.

and look at all the Big 12 juggernaut teams this year. While the SEC as a whole has taken a step forward, can the big 10 say the same. Okie st, Kansas, etc...
Compare the sheer talent/experience difference between us and Mizzu. Next season w/Powell and newcomers I would be very pissed if we didn't make a strong run to the SEC Chmpshp game, and a 3-4 game run into the NCAA's. We will be that good next year. Then Tigger fans can come on here and try that smack.
