OOC game with Rutgers?

0 like 0 dislike
Hey guys, congrats on the Top 25 class.

Question have any of you heard of this game possibly taking place. A lot of moving parts on our end with the whole Big 12/WVU scheduling, but we may desperately need a game home or away soon enough

That would be a nice addition to both of our schedules. We are still looking for someone to take the place of A&M for a neutral site game at Jerryworld in Dallas. The Aggies got tired of being spanked at Razorback Stadium South so they cried to the league enough to break a 10 year contract. How does a game in the nicest stadium in the world sound to you?

so do you need to find a replacement for the game at TExas Stadium, meaning are you playing there no matter what?

We'd like to keep it there for recruiting purposes, bt our AD is looking everywhere even if it is a home and home. I'd love to play you- good national game and we have recruited in your area lately.

We also have a neutral site in Little Rock. I'm sure we can play anytime in Cowboy stadium. If interested have AD call jerryworld and they will take care of everything.

Looks like we will play you guys 2012 and 2013...

In addition, both people said, Rutgers is close to finalizing a home-and-home deal with Arkansas, starting this fall. Rutgers would play at Arkansas this year, with the Razorbacks coming to Rutgers Stadium in 2013, becoming the first SEC team to play in Piscataway.

The home-and-home contingency plans with Syracuse, as well as Rutgers' game with Arkansas, could fall through if Boise State is fast-tracked into the Big East, however. That is still considered a long shot because of the timing, with Boise expected to play one more season in the Mountain West.

ROAD TRIP! I'm all over this. A quality opponent and an opportunity to visit the Northeast. If this thing comes to pass my wife and I will be there, no doubt! Nothing like a good Razorback road trip and the fact that it would be a cool place to visit is just a bonus.

I'm kinda surprised both teams don't want to play in Jerryworld. Neutral site, We love it there and I'd figure Rutgers would like to open recruiting to Texas.

Isn't that the navigation language required for the Garden State?

I think Vin Ascolese would be thrilled to play a college football game in his home state (2013)!

Eh, Neutral site games in NFL stadiums don't do it for me, especially when said stadium is much more of a home site for the other team. I wouldn't want to play the game at Giant's Stadium either. Prefer the real on campus stadiums.

It appears it will be home and home. I'm happy that our AD is going after a quality opponent and from a geography that we usually do not travel. Rutgers has earned a lot of respect over the last several years so we'll have to show up and play our A game. That will keep us sharp for SEC play!

We know you guys will probably take us to the woodshed, but we'd love to play a big-time program like Ark. Gotta put our big-boy pants on.

Nothing is given in football. Overconfidence can be a killer, it lets the App State's and Citadels pull of those shockers. I've seen Rutgers play a few times on TV and I know they can play very well when they put an effort into it so I hope our coaches can keep our guys from being too big-headed so we don't get caught napping.

Ugh. No. Believe me, everyone, Arkansas and Rutgers fans alik
e, will enjoy the game more at Rutgers Stadium. Do you like tailgaiting? Sightlines designed for football? College atmosphere? Easy parking? Then forget about YS. The Rutgers campus is a 50 minute train ride from midtown Manhattan...you can still visit NYC and do all the NYC stuff.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Yankees and Yankee Stadium...but enough with the football games already. Even the Meadowlands is suboptimal...a giant soulless cavernous NFL stadium. Also, I want to see the Arkansas leg played at Reynold's Stadium...not in Little Rock or Jerry's World or Turner Field for that matter.
