Didn't take long, Aggies already whining about SEC rules

Should have known it wasn't a conference issue, it is an Aggies issue. Wait until they realize the SEC doesn't share revenue equally. Welcome to being the outsider.
----
As part of Texas A&M's revered 12th Man tradition, students stand throughout the game in a show of readiness to join the team on the field if called upon.
Some of the same students who cheered so vigorously for Texas A&M to join the Southeastern Conference could be cheering from further away because of the move.
SEC policy does not permit student seating behind the visiting team's benches. Texas A&M's student senate passed a bill Wednesday night voicing displeasure with the SEC's policy, according to a report in The Battalion, the student newspaper.
The bill stated that "any reduction of student section seating

Poor aggie having a really bad week. First, they get the news that the foundation of Kyle Field is starting to crumble with the new rennovations. Construction is on hold, while they get other engineering ideas --maybe should use an non=aggy engineering firm. Looks like their home games may have to move to Reliant Stadium. Then, they drop McNeese State and have to pay them a $200,000 buy-out,so they don't have 2 subdivision opponents. They can't find a D1 school to play,so they have to sign with Sam Houston State, another subdivision school. They lose $200,000 for nothing, and chances are, they lose the game as well. Then, they get confirmation from SEC office that they have to move @5,500 student seats away from opponents bench. Even the band has to move. Also, they can't use their terrible towels --have to go with the SEC pom-poms. It's amazing what happens when you don't read the fine print. But if you talk to any aggy tonight,it's all worth it,because they have scoreboard over tu. They whipped us today,4-3,in mens' tennis. Big whoop. RIP in $EC aggs!

That didn't take long. Haven't even played an SEC game yet and they are already crying. What say you, monkey? Come on, spin it

I can't wait to see the aggies go batshit when Alabama gets their own network up and going. And they will. It's a year or 3 off, but it's coming.

So let me get this straight. They stand the entire game so they are ready to play if called upon..... on the visiting team's sideline? Correct me if I am wrong, but are the students there to suit up for the opposing team, or for their own?
Stupid aggy.

Tradition is great and all, but we're talking about a student jumping into a game one time...right? I don't really want to bother looking up the history of the tradition. He didn't jump on to the field and render CPR to save some's life. He didn't run onto the field to protect a coach or player from a sniper. He didn't even jump on the field and throw cold water on their mutt when it got locked up with the Bulldog from Georgia. Additionally, it's not going to happen again, so there is no need to have the student's so close and at the ready!
Perhaps we should reserve the first 10 rows behind our bench for people wearing VY #10 jerseys. That way our team can be motivated by the thought of the last national championship. Again, traditions are cool, but the Aggies really need to act like they've seen the endzone once in away.

I know Florida gets theirs right now. But I have it on good authority that Alabama is working on getting their own network for 3rd tier rights. Not just selling it to sunsports

I am pretty certain the SEC passed a rule that prevented schools from having their own TV network. They obviously can still sell their 3rd tier rights like Florida though.
