The attached is the last I have heard. If we can get wrestlign going in the SEC I'm all for it, but in the interim, wrestling at MU will continue. It's something we have done very well and we're not dropping it just because we switched conferences for other sports.

UK was a founding member of the SEC but we have two men's sports, soccer and rifle, that are not affiliated with the conference. UK soccer competes in the C-USA (moved from MAC a couple of years ago), and rifle competes in the Great American Rifle Conference. The Cats are defending national champions in rifle. UK had wrestling but I don't remember in which conference we competed.

There is a proposal to change wrestling from conference affiliation to regional affiliation...since all Big 10 schools have wrestling, there will be a Big 10 region, central region, west region and se region...MU would be in the central with OU, OSU, ISU, N. Iowa, basicaly all D1 schools in the central usa not in the Big 10

A lot of the schools have partnerships with other 'conferences' for the missing SEC sports. South Carolina Men's soccer competes in the Conference USA for example.
